Dennis Markusson is a founding partner of Markusson, Green & Jarvis, P.C. In this role, he serves as national counsel for a publicly held corporation for the defense of the company's asbestos litigation. Additionally he serves as an asbestos expert witness in this capacity, he works with clients on asbestos issues and factors affecting insurance coverage, including reinsurance.

Prior to joining Markusson, Green & Jarvis, P.C., Mr. Markusson directed Johns Manville Corporation's asbestos litigation group. He was responsible for the direction and coordination of Johns Manville's asbestos litigation throughout the United States. He served as Assistant General Counsel and Vice President of Johns Manville Sales Corporation. Additionally, he was responsible for the company’s litigation within the United States, OSHA-related matters and was one of Johns Manville's lead counsel in its Chapter 11 reorganization. He presently serves as national counsel for a major corporation and directs the defense of the company’s asbestos litigation.

Before founding Markusson, Green & Jarvis, Mr. Markusson was a partner in the Akron, Ohio, firm of Weick & Genovese and he served as assistant counsel to General Tire & Rubber Co.

Mr. Markusson has written and lectured extensively throughout the country on asbestos-related issues. He has lectured to the Practicing Law Institute, Defense Research Institute, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, New York Academy of Sciences, Columbia University School of Law and the American Bar Association. In 2006 and 2008, he was invited to participate as a panelist at the annual Defense Research Institute Asbestos Medicine Seminar.

Dennis Markusson is licensed to practice in Colorado as well as in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and for the Northern District of Ohio, United States Sixth, Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and United States Claims Court.
